You know, I’ve hated this movie for a long time because I - as someone with absolutely zero understanding or experience with comics - did not understand why the GenXers in my life were so obsessed with it. Having actually sat down by myself and watched it as an adult for the first time, though, in 2022, it felt almost tasteful, of all things. Again, knowing nothing, I suppose its creators thought 2009 was the very end of the superhero BS and jesus... If only it had died so gracefully as it would have with this film.
