Link to my reply as someone who vehemently despises Bluetooth, I’ve found the absurd wizardry Apple has used to make the best of the protocol very impressive and certainly adequate as a listener. (I’ve basically exclusively used these Bose OTE phones which I couldn’t ask more from.)
regarding the omission of the hardware 3.5mm jack… I might be delusional/gullible, but the engineering argument for their removal not only makes sense to me - it’s actually a wonder they kept it in so long. considering these handsets have (how many?) billions of transistors, the idea of having to work around something so comparatively ancient as a physical, hardware port seems bonkers.
