to fully experience the breadth of the nearly 100 @monaapp themes I've collected already, it occurred to me that I could quite easily create an automation that'd cycle the set theme every time I come back to the app.
I created this Siri Shortcut...
(which requires @sindresorhus@mastodon.social's Actions app, but it is free, weighs hardly nothing, and should be considered a requisite if you intend to give the platform any of your time.)
...that uses Mona's Get Theme and Set Theme actions to choose a random light/dark installed theme with respect to the system's current state. out of the box, it also includes a Speak Text action to read off the title of said theme without cluttering up notifications.
to replicate what I've shown, you'll need to set up an automation with a single Run Shortcut action targeting said Shortcut that is triggered every time Mona opens.
(do NOT select both open and close triggers unless you want to experience a very hilarious, endless cycle.)
oh yeah.... the very last Global Variable action is there (since you have Actions anyway, now,) in case you'd like a method of retrieving the current theme's title without disabling the automation first.
