Against night’s crisp envelop, your heart weighs against the stars; how you simply organs in surround by one membrane of flesh, one membrane of atmosphere; & farther still, exhaustive quiet of space; think how alone & never alone you always & never; 25 trillion miles beyond your ribs, three stars bind together in gravity’s tight hug; whisper Alpha Centauri & water vapor releases, say moist lungs, say oh energy generation; how a body keeps molecules in motion, in pack; say how gas evolves & heart a pump; you ball of gas, star in burn, in consume.
