i want to be equal parts bright / & violent / thing / we were out / last thursday / the flowers / turning hundred-eyed / as i scraped my mouth / for eel we took / prisoner / not safe / to eat / we bunched up the hours / like wads of scripture / a million little bones / adding up invisible murders / the butcher / wore snakeskin / and cowboy shades / a lily had slit / his ear and you / were laughing / neon lights / swabbing my legs / rare / regalia / regalia / you pointed to the fattest pig / for sale / i want to be so clean / i told the cleaver / a slow dance / of lanterns splayed open / semi-circular / lotus-lipped & ill-behaved / back home you strip / the skin / & lard bare / from your eyes / we cut away / my favorite colors / vertigo: / miscellaneous hot pot foods that drop / dead / parasite the soup / a primordial song / of faces we fossilized under / the sweat / of my breast / somewhere the shadows stop / making sense / we find our hands / honeyed together / no rift / but the swans bowed crescent / miming moons between / our mouths / rabbits migrating home on sailboats / of spit / such red-eyed thieves / empires falling all around / home / the butcher’s stall / the lilies / we sweep into wedding dresses / summertime / mincing us to pieces / we blush & stuff / our skulls with meat.
