Trip planner using coordinates from spreadsheet
Hi all, So I travel quite a lot, have to plan multi stop trips, quite regularly, I need some way to be able to get an idea of how long the drives between each point would take so I can plan accordingly. What I have been doing is manually searching for each point on google maps and find directions and use the time no distance to create a travel plan. This is pretty tedious and time consuming.
What I have in mind, not sure if possible, is this: I have a list (spreadsheet) of all the places I need to go, coordinates, with place name and unique code. I’m a relative beginner and have the basics of creating shortcuts there only thing I can’t figure out is looking up on a spreadsheet. I’d like to pick from a list a code - the code corresponds to the coordinates (starting point) - I pick a second point code, get coordinates - I get the driving time and distance - (optionally get multiple points for a multi stop drive)
I tried searching for APIs for Google maps etc but have no idea where to start.
Is this at all possible? Can anyone assist?
